Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is transmitted directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results; we do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained as needed to answer it. We keep messages within our organization except when disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical information when a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics

No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not host, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Asotin County guidance identifies records held by Sheriff's Records, the local courts, Washington State Patrol, and the Washington Sex Offender Public Registry. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not turned into a consumer report or a third-party criminal record.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the site's search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention rules, and sharing practices govern information submitted to those tools. Review the applicable partner policy before running a query because we do not control that processing.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Sheriff pages, court portals, Washington agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy controls the visit and should be read before personal information is provided.
Some advertising providers may use their own systems to follow activity across websites for interest-based advertising.

Personal data is not sold. It may be disclosed to the following limited recipients:

Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Information identified as belonging to a minor will be removed after notice.

Washington consumer-protection law, including the Washington Consumer Protection Act, chapter 19.86 RCW, may provide rights that depend on the circumstances.
